Meet Alex Hines

The heart behind the work.

I’m Alex Hines, a Richmond-based creative, videographer, photographer, and storyteller.

For more than seven years, I’ve captured people, celebrations, and stories through my lens. What began with photography has grown into Hines Creative Media, a creative partner for photography, video, and visual storytelling.

No matter the medium, the heart of my work remains the same: human connection.

My goal is simple: create something intentional, honest, and human.

    On June 1, 2022, I left my eight-year career as a mail carrier to pursue photography full time.

    People often ask me how I did it, but not enough ask why.

    For me, it was about living in alignment with my purpose. My superpower is to empower and inspire, and creativity is the tool I use to shine a light on the best version of people.
